Research Description:
Seismic tomography research into large-scale motion of the Earths interior. Work involves analysis of global digital seismograph network data, which requires developing a database and computer models of stored data, as well as developing new analysis techniques. Immediate interest in understanding the underlying structure of hot spots and how they relate to mantle-wide circulation.
